Popular Tarryn Lamb’s album on the shelves

The popular Tarryn Lamb has got the country humming to her single Mal Oor Jou, and her long-expected album of the same title has just been released. The diverse singer is a welcome, fresh breeze that is blowing through the Afrikaans music industry.

Mal Oor Jou contains fourteen songs, most of which were penned by award-winning songwriter Johan Oberholzer. The meaningful lyrics will resonate with her adult audience.

A duet with the famous Jay du Plessis – Afgrond – and one with Kevin Leo – Ed Sheeran’s Perfect – are included for further listening pleasure.

Fans will be mesmerised from the first note until her voice fades away during the final moments of her rendition of Laurika Rauch’s well-known hit, Blouberg Se Strand.

Along with the album’s release, a brand-new music video of the first song on the album, Vier Woorde, is already available. Watch the music video here: http://bit.ly/VierWoorde. The music video for Mal Oor Jou, which was released this year in June, has also taken the number one position on iTunes for nearly two months.

With music being a part of her soul, Tarryn’s big breakthrough in the music industry happened as lead singer of the popular group BlackByrd. During 2013 to 2017, the group received seven SAMA nominations with eight top 10 radio singles, including All For Me, From The Bottom of My Heart and I Love You, I Just Simply Do.

Tarryn recently also entertained South Africans on TV with her role as Kim Adams in the popular soapie Suidooster. For this performance, she received a sought-after SAFTA award for best actress in a supporting role. She has also finished filming for a role in the biography of Ellen Pakkies’ life.

The Album Mal Oor Jou is available nationwide at all good music stores. Those who would like to order online will find Mal Oor Jou on iTunes and JOOX.
