Tweespoor
7 June @ 20:00 – 21:00
– R160 – R180

Why it had to take such a long time for these two artists to realize what a special combination they make, no one can explain. Different footprints lead up to a lovely story. They both have the amazing talent of songwriting and the ability to tell their stories in a unique way.
In this new production, “Tweespoor” Richard and Steffie succeed in merging music and lyrics in such a way that the simplicity has striking appeal and this assures their audience of a quality show, a sound that souls long for. Two wonderful people with warm, strong personalities full of humour and great heart. We all leave footprints somewhere, sometime and occasionally none. Richard and Steffie tell their stories and they take us on a journey with their amazing music, songs such as “Wag nog ‘n Bietjie”, “Hier waar jy hoort”, “Tweemantent”, “Tussen Treine” and “Dans in die Reën” and even an unexpected version of se Briels’ “Trein na Pretoria” which will definitely entertain the audience.
Footprints always lead somewhere or nowhere, but this production will leave a footprint for everyone to follow with lots of beautiful moments.

ADAM TAS RELEASES LONG-AWAITED NEW ALBUM!
Adam Tas is known for his deep raspy voice and emotional lyrics, and has managed to conquer the hearts of many South African music lovers from the onset of a very successful career. The release of his long-awaited new album, SIT KÊRELS, will definitely culminate in a new fan-base and an increased popularity.
His ninth studio album will build forth on the winning recipe that he has become known for and boasts an impressive collection of stories, soul music and light-hearted tracks. “SIT KÊRELS contains more songs than my previous albums and combines various genres, like Rock ’n Roll and Blues, but it also has a new Folky approach, which I like very much,” the singer shares. “Old friends are people who make me feel at home and this homely-vibe is what I strive to achieve through my music.”
According to the artist, he and his friend “Koekoes”, wrote most of the material for the new CD and elected to include a humorous track or two, like Sit Kêrels, My Vrou Maak Tee. “It is derived from a line, with which Anton Goosen humoured us, whilst we were touring in Australia. I requested if I could borrow it for a song and he graciously agreed, explains Adam. Meyer le Roux also contributed with a few songs for this latest release.
Although he finds it difficult to single out any favourites, he admits that he might favour Die Here Se Koms, and that the song he wrote for his late mother envokes a sense of sadness. He also anticipates that Voëlverskrikker, and his duet with Stella, Ek Is Ryk, has potential to become hit, given the fact that they are more commercial. Ek Is Ryk was released in August and can already be heard on the radio. It portrays the story of someone who feels disheartened by difficult circumstances, but who also realises that true wealth can only be measured against the love and relationships in life. This realisation armours the person with the hope and peace enabling him to cope with troubles ahead. “I love working with someone who is exceptionally talented and gifted. Stella is one of those people,” he says.
Although singing was not originally his chosen career-path, a serious bicycle accident not only changed his life, but also sparked his interested in music. After his recovery, he started building his career and even earned himself a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for performing at 41 different venues in 24-hours. His soothing voice, unique sound and charming stage personality, immediately appealed to audiences of all ages and his work was well received by radio stations across the country.
After eight successful albums (Memories In ’n Menthol, Springbok Radio, Ben Bicycle, Storm van Liefde, Man van Stof, Want jy is Boer, ’n Tas vol Cash en Patatas en Pyptabak), of which four reached gold – and three platinum status, and foolowed by various radio-hits, including Gaan Sê Vir die Angels, ’n Man Soos My Pa, Draadloos Dae and more, he has established himself as one of the most popular artists in the country. Adam has also shared the stage with some of the best local musicians and performed at some of the biggest concerts and music festivals around, like Huisgenoot Skouspel.
When he is not on stage, he is also an actor and television personality. He was a presenter for two kykNET programs, Woema and Wild en Wragtig, and was one of the lead characters in the movie Spook van Uniondale, alongside André Swartz, Ivan Zimmermann and Tobie Cronjé. His single, So Verlief, was also included as the soundtrack to the movie, Vrou Soek Boer. Adam is in addition, a qualified game ranger, who enjoys the outdoors and bow-hunting.
When asked about his plans for the future, the singer reveals that it might be time for him to progressively slow down a bit. “I want to see my child laugh and dance, which is all I need to fill my heart with peace. I long to farm, hunt, fish and do a big concert every now and then,” the star says. “I put my heart and soul into each album, and this one is no different. You can expect to hear a piece of my soul when listening to the new CD, as I leave the listener with a little bit of my heart with each song.”
SIT KÊRELS is a must for any music enthusiast’s collection. A combination of meaningful lyrics, striking melodies and strong vocals, provide the perfect ingredients for an album that will remain popular for years to come. Adam Tas has the amazing ability to draw people together with his music, to truly make them experience his emotions and to make them feel at ease… just like a good old friend would and should!
