PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. – Sept. 11, 2018 – PRLog — The Josie Music Awards, the
largest independent music award organization, part of The Josie Network, LLC of
Brands held its 4th Annual award ceremony event this past Saturday, September
8, 2018 at the Celebrity Theater inside the Dollywood Theme Park. The
Josie Music Awards also known as the “JMAs” and the
“Josies” celebrates those in the independent music industry like no
one else can. This is a huge event just for amazing talents within the
independent community of many different genres. The exposure nominees receive
from this event cannot be matched. The show was opened fittingly by Josie
Passantino’s fiance’ singer/songwriter/performer and multi-award winner Matt
Boone. He pumped up the crowd and announced owners Josie and Tinamarie
Passantino.
The JMA weekend gave those in the independent community a red-carpet entrance
as Dollywood greeters welcomed all in attendance, the flashing lights of the
cameras filled the red carpet as nominees posed for their photos by a team of
outstanding photographers. Then with several media outlets ready the
nominees had the opportunity for several interviews prior to the start of the
show. The show was a full production event including award presentations
and unforgettable performances. Attendees were also treated to special
guest performances from two incredibly talented performers Heidi Parton and
Chris Golden. The full stage production included lighting effects that
were out of this world and left attendees wanting more. The weekend also
included a full day at the Dollywood Theme Park to have fun with family and
friends. This was a weekend that attendees won’t forget.
The red carpet included attendees taking photos with the Free2Luv anti-bullying
sign. Free2Luv was awarded with The Josie Show Humanitarian Award this
year with its presentation on the red carpet. Also announced or presented on
the red carpet were the Hall of Fame Inductees Jimmy Parker (Traditional
Country), Steve Owen (Bluegrass), Donna Ray (Gospel). Josie and Tinamarie were honoured
with Hall of Fame inductions for their work to continually support Bluegrass
and Gospel music within the industry and throughout their musical brands.
The “Josies” went to 86 amazing talents and the stage show included
14 unbelievable performances. Modern Country Entertainer of the Year Band
winners Tobi Lee and Mustang Sally’s performance was met with a standing
ovation. Performances by Rio & The Rockabilly Revival, Under The Radar,
Kevin B Klein, Amy McAllister, Hanah & Hailee, Cherish Lee, Jessie-Rose,
Kathryn Shipley with Chuck Thomas, The Tennessee River Boys, Rebecca Mae &
Jack Lawless, and Tom Euler had attendees dancing in their seats, inspired, and
hearts touched. The Josie Network Owners, Josie and Tinamarie Passantino, were
out mingling with the crowd and taking photos before and after the show as well
as at The Island After Party Gathering location. Photographer photos will
be released within the upcoming weeks.
