Anne Nkhumeleni from Roodepoort in the Gauteng Province has been announced IS MRS SA SEMI-FINALIST FOR 2022.
Anne Nkhumeleni from Roodepoort in the Gauteng Province has been announced as a Bare Beauty Mrs. South Africa Semi-finalist for 2022, as the country emerges from the challenges of the last two years and into a season of hope.

She is a 39-year-old mom of two born and brewed in Soweto but has been residing in Roodepoort for 12 years. Her husband of twelve years is the one who introduced her to the Mrs. South Africa pageant.
Anne is a career woman who has been working within the financial industry for the past 17 years. She is all about motivating, inspiring, and empowering the youth to make better financial decisions before they reach their adult life. Her journey as a semi-finalist was one of the best birthday presents this year as on 5th March 2022, she received the news of being one of the 100 contestants. “When I received the news, I was so overjoyed and felt too blessed to be among the list of beautiful and sophisticated women from all over South Africa from all walks of life”; she adds.

The announcement was made virtually on the Mrs. South Africa official Instagram page, followed by a self-development workshop held at Emperors Palace, to prepare the class of 2022 for the road ahead.
Mrs. South Africa is a journey based on pillars of Self-Development, Community Work, Networking, and Business, and has gained the reputation of connecting like-minded women and equipping them for success in all areas of their lives. At its core, this is a platform that celebrates authentic, relatable, and modern South African women. Mrs. South Africa recognises the value of marriage and the essence of being a “Bonafide” woman.
The program was created for married women who would ordinarily not have such a platform to compete and be ambassadors for South Africa, on a global scale. The opportunities and platforms that have been created for Mrs. South Africa entrants are significant in every way and it truly creates a ripple effect across our beautiful country. Throughout the journey, women discover themselves again and learn that they are never too old to follow their dreams and become voices of change.
“Being selected as Mrs. South Africa Semifinalist has been the most remarkable, inspiring, and empowering experience in my life. I have never imagined that after 2 years of the challenges we have gone through as a country, 2022 would be a year of positive change and hope when one felt hopeless. It is my highest honor to have been granted this opportunity and I am here to motivate, inspire and empower youth through my vision of financial smarties, an awareness campaign on financial literacy for young boys and girls. I believe that only greatness will be accomplished when surrounded by incredible powerful women. I look forward to seeing a more improved version of myself. Thank you, Mrs S.A for this platform”.

Olka Bolka Magazine did an interview with Anna to find out more about her.

I am an Anti Money Laundering AML Reporting and Sanction analyst in a financial institution
Tell us about yourself in a nutshell?
I am a mom of 2 beautiful kids and have been married for 12 years to an amazing husband. I am an easy-going simple person that enjoys spending time with family by just watching movies and listening to music. Lover of fashion and have been told that I am a drama queen but believe that I am a mini comedian.
How did you experience 2020 up to now in 2022?
SHOOO well 2019 was the year we decided to have our 10-year wedding anniversary. The planning took about 3 months and the 10-year wedding anniversary took place on the 5th of January 2020. I still thank God that this event took place before Covid. Covid was truly an eyeopener for me it made me appreciate life and still believe that having survived it meant that I still had a purpose in life thus making a difference in the community.
What made you decide to participate in Mrs. South Africa?
The reason for me participating in the Mrs. South Africa pageant is because I have always been a reserved person and having gone through Covid and survived it I felt I needed to challenge myself and be out of my comfort zone. My vision is to invest time and knowledge to inspire, motivate and empower the youth with better financial decision-making skills before they reach their adult life. I strongly believe that the earlier they can take charge of their finances, they will achieve financial freedom and contribute economically to our country. Mrs. S.A has been a positive platform for me giving the confidence to make my vision possible.

Which Charity would you like to support?
The Charity I would like to support is the Johannesburg Child Welfare as it deals with abused, abandoned, orphaned, neglected, and vulnerable children as this is something very close to my heart.
What is your vision should you win?
My vision is to continue to go out to schools and share my knowledge about financial stability from a young age. I see from my own children how smart and have the willingness to learn. From this, I take the literal meaning in my home language isiZulu that “igotshwa isemanzi” literary meaning that it is best to mold a branch while it is still young and fresh. I see the financial smarties series as a great platform that will enable young children to start making better financial decisions that will have an impact on their adult life.
Tell us something no one knows about you?
I love singing in the shower and the fact is my singing is bad but still do regardless LOL
What inspires you?
Being present and knowing that I can still make a difference in one person’s life. No matter how small it can be just telling a person that they are incredible and seeing their reaction just motivates me.
What’s on your bucket list?
A cruise to Mauritius with my family just to see the excitement on my children’s faces just makes me feel good as a mother.
What is your WHY in life?
Being a mother has been such an incredible experience for me and children are truly my why in life. Lastly for God to have kept me alive all these years there is still something that I need to achieve that will be a positive impact on the youth.
When is your birthday?
My birthday is on the 5th of March and amazingly this year I got the Mrs. South Africa Sash and that has been such an honor.
